Beautify Vanderbilt Avenue - Saturday, May 3

Come out on Saturday, May 3 to help care for Vanderbilt Avenue's trees.

Heart of Brooklyn, a partnership of Brooklyn cultural institutions, has generously provided the Vanderbilt Avenue Merchants Association with a grant to implement a tree care program to help beautify Prospect Heights. The grant will cover the cost of purchasing top soil, mulch, fertilizer and the tools needed to clean, aerate, fertilize and prune the forty existing trees on Vanderbilt from Plaza to Atlantic Avenue. The grant is being given with the understanding that the community will provide volunteers needed to implement the tree care program.
