I just got this email below from one of my favorite spots in Prospect Heights. I love Gureje, and I'd like to help the place out in its moment of need. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend checking it out!

It is a fashion store in front and an art space/gathering spot in the back.

We are facing eviction on Friday, May 16, 2007. We must raise funds immediately.

To support us in this effort, the art community has graciously donated works of art valued at a minimum of $400. Most are valued at much higher. We are offering all artwork for sale at $400 each. The date of the art sale is:
