  • sugarsync is real good. provides both backup AND sync services. comes with a 45 day trial initially. you then have to pay a minimum of 4.99 each month for 10 GBs i believe.

if it's strictly syncing you need to accomplish i suggest foldershare from microsoft. it does that plus serves as a p2p/sharing service which you can designate to contacts for viewing or altering files according to your settings. best of all, it's absolutely free.

other good services incude syncplicity & autosync. both are pay for sevices

also, if you want, pm me with your email address and i can send you an invite to a new application called dropbox,, which is a sync, sharing and backup utility. the first 2 GBs are free. it's still in beta and only available through invitation currently. a lot of people, including myself, are totally loving the way it functions.

i've used sugarsync, which is a great all in one application with a really good user interface, but don't see the need to pay for a service like this when there are other applications that perform just as well and have equal to similar features. i personally combine foldershare and dropbox and i accomplish everything i need to.

    hope that helps!

That is one of my favorite pics. I used it as a jumping off point the last time I had body art performed.

daver, hah, classic. Yeah...that image is best paired with imperial_march.mp3 (perhaps will find and post later, when not on my mobile)

***edited to add the requisite mp3 embed:

  • I was just checking out SugarSync and it looks cool, but I'm not a big fan of uploading my data on somebody else's server and hoping nobody accesses it.

I have some double sided USB cables. isn't there a software app that will do this? Windows Easy Transfer only lets you go XP to Vista. I also have to go Vista to XP
