Does anyone know when the Brooklyn Half Marathon started? On the NY Road Runners website, they have results going back to 1987 and in other internet research, I found a reference to the winner for the 1981 race.

If anyone has any information on how long this race has been in around, I'd be interested in finding out more. Thanks.
