Anyone have dinner at "The Spot" on the corner of Grand and Prospect? Went for brunch and was disappointed. Wondering if I should risk dinner there. I'll give them a second chance.

give it a few weeks. that's what I'm doing. I was bitterly disappointed by a brunch from the previous occupants - deacon blue. while they were nice enough, they had audacity to put powdered sugar and strawberries on my chicken and waffles. BLECH. thankfully it was just the middle but ruined my whole method of eating chicken and waffles by carefully mixing chicken skin and butter in every crevice of the waffle and consuming it like the f'd up hedonist I am. hoping the spot has better karma.

yeah, I went there with a big hangover the morning after a 4th of July party. The coffee was horrible, tasted like day old instant. Not only that but it was artificially flavored like Irish whiskey. Our omelets were overcooked and dry. Needless to say, my hangover was not helped.
