Hotels near long beach...

I'm trying to plan a little midweek getaway to the beach tomorrow through thurs. My boyfriend's going to be golfing at bethpage both days and we want to stay on or near the ocean (even though its a bit of a hike from the course) I've been googling and am coming up pretty dry with hotels or b&bs in the area- anyone have any suggestions?

Yea, they're really pretty far from each other....there's not a whole lot in terms of a nice place on the water near Bethpage, it's all kinda shitty.

But Long Beach is great. Let me ask my friend who lives there and I'll get back to you.

Ok- she says there's only one in LB called The Jackson. She says its "not that nice, but its reasonable."

I saw some reviews for that place via google that looked rather scary... i'll check it out again. Thanks for the info!!

Call the Chamber of Commerce and ask them who has rooms available that is a member.
