Hello Mildred (Millie), we never called you Mille growing up "Back When". Clad to hear yourself, Carol, Danny are going to reunion, looking forward seeing you, last time we seen eachother must had been when one of our niece's or nephew's were Baptized.
I noticed when you asked if I known people from 6th bet, 18 and 19 st where the park stands now, to be honest no, however I do remember the old lady in the run down house on 19 st aslo were the park stands now. She had the only house standing. I hope theres's no relations to people here, we were afraid to go near her houses cause we were told she was a witch lmao, how stupid we were. She was very skinny, she always exited here houses with a broom, not kidding, you know something, maybe I had a bad dream lol.
Janet Horan, I remeber you, you lived a few houses off 7th avenue on 20st, across the street the the Fox's, and the Conroy's. Hope all is well.

The party ends when Terry and I fall on the floor from exhaustion LOL!
No set time to end no one will throw us out. The house chairman my Father will be their and the Vice Commodore is bartending so no worries about what time we have to leave.
The bartenders will be Christy and Ricky they are good friends of mine and she is one hell of a bartender . Ricky is great at opening bottles of beer. LOL!
Ann Marie -
Thanks Annmarie. Do you hear that BOB, you can get there later !!
Ralphie trocchio: Yes, that is where I lived and I remember your whole family of course. I was over your house a lot when Margie lived there. -
TERRY - no intention to stress you further - but something 'may be wrong'
with you email. I sent one and it went through, then with my follow-up I
kept getting this message:
<olly416>:
Sorry, I couldn't find a mail exchanger or IP address. (#5.4.4)
Will catch up with you tomorrow. (Maybe your inbox is full??)
Love,
Me -
Anyone see Geraldine Gagliardi O'Brien lately (on here that is)???
-
Just a short note: When you post a message, click on view your message and NOT back to the forum. I think this is confusing a few people and then they have to go through the whole site to find this blog.
I use Netscape and after I post, it takes me back in 10 seconds without clicking on anything. -
Janet, Yes I forgot when Margie and Louie were married living there , wow such a long time ago, we all had such good time times, except for me, had to sleep on couch during there stay lol.
-

Ralph Trocchio: Once when Trick or Treating on Halloween (naturally) an old lady with a broom came out of the house on 18th Street between 7th and 8th screaming at us kids to get away. She said (what I still consider to be a classic line): "I didn't sh*t you out of my ass." We ran the heck away and I will never forget her witch-like appearance or her words.
-
Tony Umbria--Of course I remember the candy store, especially the malteds that were especially wonderful because they always had "extra" left in the metal mixing container. We felt we were getting a bargain: one-and-a-half malteds for the price of one.

GOOD NIGHT ALL [-o<

Hola I''MMMMMMM BACK
i hope this backs it through, i have had a difficult time trying to get on, but as i used to tell my children growing, "It at first you don't succeed try try again." -
Subject: ok
RALPH TROCCHIO I don't think you were dreaming about the lady & the broom. (I am the one who asked about the houses before the park) I think I remember my husband Pete (Dan Lovaglio's brother ) saying somthing about that lady , I will ask him.
Sounds like everyone had a "witch" in thier childhood. Mine was everytime we would head to the movies THE SANDERS , we would walk past a block that always had an old lady with pure white hair in the window (she never moved ) we would run so fast just not to look at her. One day she scared the hell out of us :pale: by standing up and waving, that was after returning from seeing ROSEMARY'S BABY . After that we always waved back & realized she was just a grandma. -
HOLA:
Bobby Banjany: thanks for the info on Tommy and Dan; tommy was my boars head man when he had the accident; i have not seen tommy since then, that was quite a few years ago, and as for dan reilly all i know is that he does not live in NY.
Terry and all who try to help me get on this thread, THANKS, lets hope i can get back on.
there is so much reading to catch up with, i will do it little by little.
ANTONY O.: i read that you were given up on this thread, i've never known you to be a quitter, stay well and healthy.
FRANNY: i want to take this opportunity to thank you for your contribution to the 17th street Cancer Crusade Fundraiser. May God continue blessing you and yours. The research MUST continue, i will let you know what the final count is, the checks are still coming in. GRACIAS
see ya all on the 21st, looking forward to the reunion. -
Hola Terry:
I will put Marie on my prayer list, that God will give her peace as she goes thru this ordeal, i will also pray for her family and for u, because eating 4 bowls of ice cream is not going to help the situation, but it will make you sick.
stay well and strong. -
Tony Umbria what are your brothers names. i remember an umbria in my class, but can't remember first name.
-
My grandparents owned that building on 21st and 6th over the yrs. it was candy stores beauty parlors the jolly fellows social club and now it's a cafe called toby's pub
-
Ann Marie, Is there parking? Or do you have to park on the blocks.
-
Terry, don't allow anyone else to come unless they have a 6' hero under their arm. lol
-
nilda ace - you don't know me, I think I remember you if your the hairdresser.
I used to live right next door to Tommy & Danny Rielly on 20th St.
In fact when I was younger & they first moved in I had a
crush On Danny along with all the other young girls ,he was older.
Tommy was so much fun . When I heard about his accident I
was heartbroken. Is it true he was robbed for a lousy $20.00 ?
Seems no one knows about Danny but where is Tommy, who takes care of him ? I remember his smile.
I hope you get back on easy, I had a few times where I was lost
but I found my way back in , good luck Carol -
THAT WAS FUNNY......... 6' HERO UNDER THEIR ARM LOL
-
Good Morning. I see that there were a few night owls on her last night. Yes, more can come to the reunion if they bring enough food for 5, lol. Just kidding.
-
The store on 21st & 6th is the reason why I still order Malteds to this day. Today they are not as good. I also used to love Vanilla Egg creams.
Hanging out there is also the reason I wanted to sneak into Henry's to see the band, because they also hung out there. Matter of fact, I always wanted to skip church to stay there with Pat Fairchild drinking egg creams and malteds.
Does any one remember Peggy Murray that worked there? I used to write to Pete Murray, her son, when he was in the service and we lost contact years ago. -
Hey don't let them come unless they bring all the nuns from Saint John's.
