BOB I AM SITTINING HERE TYPING AND LAUGHING AT YOUR COMMENTS. A "WOOD PARTY" IS NOT THE RIGHT NAME. THE COMPANY MARCY SOLD FOR HAD A NAME(I CANNOT REMEMBER IT RIGHT NOW) BUT ALL PICTURES AND FRAMES, ETC WERE MADE OF PINE WOODD. VERY PRETTY STUFF. WE ACTUALLY CALLED IT THE COLONIAL WOOD PARTY, BUTLIKE I SAID, NOT SURE WHAT THE COMPANY NAME WAS.
WE HAD PARTIES ALMOST 2X A MONTH. EVERYONE HAD THEM IN OUR CIRCLE OF FRIENDS AT THAT TIME. (BETTER THAT TUPPERWARE PARTIES) LOL. -
MARCY (SHALIMAR) WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THE COMPANY? WRITE BACK SOON THANX,
-
Oh, OK......a "colonial wood party" sounds so much more conservative. Makes me think about Thomas Jefferson.....and god knows, he wouldn't attend a scanalous event of the type that originally came to mind. Of course, William Jefferson Clinton.....maybe.
-
Marcy......I like the name Marcy......how many Marcy's do I know ? None. I hope you aren't too tied to the name Shalimar (it reminds me of a strong perfume that makes me sneeze.....I say that with total respect for your right to choose whatever name you like.....aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh choo).
-
WELL, GOOD NIGHT ALL I HAVE TO GET UP FOR WORK TOMORROW.(I STILL HAVEN'T HIT THE LOTTERY YET)

GOOD NIGHT BOB, ENJOY WHAT'S LEFT OF THE NIGHT.
GOOD NIGHT "NY METS" SEE YOU NEXT SEASON
-
Good night Patsy......I'll check my lottery tickets.
-
Dear Bob,
Yeah, like you don't know what a wood party is!!!! I still remember you and your girlfriends in Natty Guido's basement. Talk about wood! Janet says it was a splinter group, but I'm sure you remember it as a giant sequoia. -
For George Washington a "wood party" was a trip to the dentist.
-
Aha! You're speechless because of the revelations about Natty's parties. Don't be ashamed...That was years ago.
-
So tired, tired of waiting for a response. Going to sleep. Good-night.
-
Hope I don't have any kids I'm not aware of......all named "Chip".
-
Besdies, I only attend Colonial wood parties ! Though now I know why they gay Republicans call themselves "log cabin" Republicans. Hey, doesn't Janet own a log cabin home.......
-
OK......well, I guess it's just me left. Going to sleep in my wooden platform bed and going to have my own party......OK, I'll let my wife come to the party. Oh yeah, I forgot the new dog.....and the cat who also sleeps on the bed......and if there is a thunderstorm, at least one of the other dogs will climb on. Well, it's my party and I'll invite whoever I want (no matter what species they belong to).

BOB you are a riot.. Clinton /wood party. Lobster Tail etc..etc...
My brother n law Dan Lovaglio always says that his brother & wife (thats me ) should have a sitcom on television. There are times he laughs so much from us that he is in tears ANYWAY.... I would like to know if that ever happens would you write for the show. LOL
Did your sister tell you we went on a 2 day tour of the neighborhood. In the school yard of P.S. 146, it's still huge. Met the new Park Slope people , old neighbors, went to White Eagle ,met some one from the reunion just strolling on 5th Ave. St John's Church & in the school. Worked up quite an appetite & headed to Vinny's on Smith St. to eat. Perfect day except for the people who were not home when we tried to visit.
CHRISTINA Janet Horan is doing her home work. Janet has been jotting down addresses / screen names of people she meets incase of another reunion.
While we were having dinner she asked for my address in Staten Island and without realizing it I said 330 (20th st.) I could not believe how that came out. We laughed. Touring the neighborhood was so emotional.
We must have looked like nuts jumping in & out of the car , the 3 of us taking pictures all at the same time. It was fun, another day filled with memories. YOUR SLIDE SHOW - PRICELESS OX -

GOOD MORNING ALL HERE I AM AT WORK. IT"S MONDAY, WORK AND MONDAY, WHAT COULD BE WORSE? LOL
I WILL PEEK IN LATER.
HI BOB:) -
JANET HORAN:
That is great that you are gathering some names and addresses. This is what we need. When you have a bunch, email me so I can add them to the official Park Slope Mailing List. We are becoming such the group. We got Francesca Bruno Saracino thinking about a cook book, we have blooming photographers ready for next year's event, this is too cool.
I'm sorry that some of you cannot open the Photo Show. I've noticed it is the people who use "AOL". I'm really sorry.
Joe's of Avenue U - Santina, Carol.................I'm dying for one of those Panelle sandwiches. I was watching the cooking show with "Lidia" and she gave the recipe. Apparantly it's just chick pea flour and water and you cut it down in slices and than fry and assemble. The only problem is, I'll NEVER get that beautiful roll here in Florida (no way Jose). That is the beauty of the sandwich.
BOB HORAN - Perhaps we can budget for a DJ next year and fry some zeppoli's or have Joe's of Avenue U make some Panelli's Sandwiches!
Love,
Twiggy -
Good Morning All,
Twiggy - beautiful, beautiful slide show. Loved it! You're one talented lady! But, we knew that!!
Terry - would like to see your pix 2 plz.
Patsy - I'm at work too. I have a terrible habit, it's called eating, so working is a good thing. I've got to keep up this (not-so) girlish figure!! The weekends go soooo fast.
Terry (again) - a woman in the white house with PMS just might solve some of the problems going on in this world. A tee shirt saying I saw once just popped into mind - "give me chocolate and no one get's hurt..." but we'll make sure Mrs. President doesn't get any!!
Back to work, catch you all later.
karen
Horan family - you 3 should have you're own comedy show. You're all so funny.
Pat Gagliardi - does Margie Williams still live on SI? We used to live in the same condo development then she moved and so did I and i lost her new address. Small world - when her mother was ill and in the nursing home, my niece Mary was her speech therapist. Pat actually recognized my niece (who was always w/my mother as a youngster). Anyway, tell Margie I said hi and to come on to the blog so we can reconnect.
I'm a day late and a dollar short - somewhere on here a recipe "club" was mentioned. I'm all for it. -
Strange - my above post isn't how I typed it. Oh well.
-
ANN MARIE WALTON:
I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for ALL you did for the reunion. It was such much behind the scenes stuff that you did, I don't even know if everyone is aware of it. From setting up the club, to getting those hot dogs, paper products, perfecting those egg creams (not such a bad job), setting up the bar and taking heat from people who said, "I thought the frigging drinks were going to be $2" (that would be me - sorry my friend). Really, you were so instrumental in making this day so special and you were so great throughout all the planning.
I received so much praise because I was the one constantly sending out those annoying emails, but it was you who did so much and I wanted everyone (who did not know) that you were TREMENDOUS!
THANK YOU!
See you next year! -

DEBBIE BRODBECK SICIARGO wrote: Hi Old Goat.... What a small world. Who would have thought I'd find someone from my old Church, 12th Street. Yes I am Debbie Brodbeck. My mother is Bunny and my Aunt is Emma Zmijewski, our soprano soloist. My cousins are Laura Zmijewski, Ronnie and Diane Cohen, who we just lost this past January, Barry Chester and Robbie and Gail Zwycewicz and their mother Lucille. I think everyone knew my Great-grandmother/father Emily and Herbert Brown(Nana and Papa) Our family had been having reunions for about 16 years in Long Island at Lucille's house. Mad Kerstein even attended a few. So now that I have told you my life story what Carsen are you. I know you came from a large family as well and some Carsen Bros. were in the choir. I must tell Laura . I was just on the phone talking to her about the reunion. So get back with the info. Bye for now. Debbie
Deb, Who passed away in January? Was it Ronnie, Diane or both?
