Forest City Ratner Marty Markowitz forcing out Elderly
Do you remember this?
Forest City Ratner Harassing the Elderly - A Video http://www.brooklynian.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=42997&highlight=&sid=e3b4df6eaa850ab515cd256b3553c3d1
It seems the video can no longer be seen, but some of you may remember it. (I am attempting to find out if it can be posted again.)
An elderly woman lives on Dean St in the Ratner footprint. She endured the ground-shaking teeth-rattling demolition behind her building on Pacific St. in the video, and now they will be demolishing a huge Dean St. building next door to her starting in October.
She is fed up with the noise, the abuse, the demolition, the harassment, Ratner, etc. and now must get out by the end of September 2008.
This posting is for her, we are [were] trying to help find her an apartment.
It's the people in life that matter, not arenas. Thank you.
{{{UPDATE}}}
She has found a place.

I don't know much about the Jewish Hospital except for what I have read here, but would that be a viable alternative for her?
-
i will vouch for the accessibility of the jewish, but i'm not sure there are any studios. worth asking, if the price is okay for her.

Thanks, but not sure Crown Heights would work for her.
I really thought there woud be more of a response to this. Maybe I should change the topic headline. -
Why not contact the NYC Department for the Aging? They should have plenty of resources or could put you in touch with a non-profit that might be of assistance.
Why wouldn't Crown Heights work for her?
Howdy, Stranger!
