Charmin... — Brooklynian

Charmin...

I'm in the process of restocking my bathroom. I can't decide, Charmin Ultra Strong or Charmin Ultra Soft. They both start with the letter "S", which makes it even harder. I really hate to make mistakes and was wondering if anybody had any experience with this.

P.S. If there was a previous thread on this I apologize in advance.

  • Scott is the way to go.
  • soft all the way. Wtf are you doing with your tp that you need it to be strong?! Wait, don't answer that...
  • Strong baby! Cuz I'm a hard ass
  • Scott Extra Soft is the ONLY tp I use. Strong, yet gentle.
  • whatever is cheaper :p

    BUNS OF STEEL!

  • Bounty is the only thing that will stand up to my backside.
  • i can't believe you're asking about my toilet paper obsession. wow. here are my thoughts:

first off, speak to me not of scottie. there are places i just don't economize, like for instance, my tender bits. boys, i wouldn't expect you to understand, so just nod.

white cloud was the way to go, before charmin bought them out and marketed their less soft _and_ less strong tp as being the same as white cloud.

then follow the years of confusion over the red vs the blue charmin package. i never did figure out the difference, but i do applaud the introduction of the mega-roll, even though it doesn't really fit on my dispenser. charmin in that period was no white cloud, but i got over it.

now they've gone and messed up a perfectly good product. ultra-strong is awful -- more like a paper towel than toilet paper. PLUS, it's TOO absorbent. how to put this? it wicks liquid from one surface to the other (the one touching your hands) way too efficiently.

the ads for ultra strong are all about how it keeps you from the dread problem of little bits of tp stuck to your nether regions. who has this problem? i wondered. until i tried the ultra soft -- now _I_ have that problem, because the ultra soft leaves linty bits behind (as it were).

    agh!
