Brazen Robber in the area

Hi all I just wanted to give you a heads up. There apparently is a bold robber in the area of Park Pl. btwn Underhill and Washington. My Fiancee had her bike stolen from the Top of the stairs INSIDE the Brownstone (we are on the 2nd floor).

Our Landlord has been having work done on his floors and the contractors have been leaving the front doors open through out the day. Apparently yesterday afternoon the contractors reported seeing a middle aged Caucasian man walk out with the bike. They didn't think anything of it thinking he was a tenant since he didn't act as if he was out of place. The contractors also said they had tools taken for their van.

So if you are having work done on your places please make sure your contractors are keeping doors closed while they are working.

Please ask your fiancee to report this to the police if that hasn't already happened. It's important to file the report, even if nothing comes of it, so that our crime stats for the 'nabe are accurately recorded. It's our best shot at getting more law enforcement attention when we need it.

Sorry about the bike. That really blows.

This guy meets the description of the guy who stole the delivery bike from Noona (the thai place on Washington). They have his picture posted of him actually stealing the bike on video.

...see if he's the guy.

the thai place on washington is actually udom; noona is the korean place on vanderbilt. either way though, bike thieves are the suck!

Noona ...they are the ones that had the picture of the thief taking their bike

Well, there are certainly plenty that aren't so bold as to walk into a fairly busy building in the middle of the day and steal a bike right in front of everyone...
