I work in public affairs, I have to have the auto spell checker automatically change pubic to public, or we get severely embarassed.

I intereviewed a job applicant, who then sent me a thank you letter:

"Thank you for taking the time to inteview me... I find the prospect of joining your firms diverse team to be appalling"

I suspect she wanted to write "appealing" but didn't give her the job, just in case.
