over a year ago i complained about my next door neighbors construction doing some damage to my walls etc...

finally today someone left notice for inspection. i left with them all my contact info, they could of called me. i could of let them in to inspect it. and call my tenants to let them know to have access to the basement storage units.

also they could of done this a month ago, where i paid them to come and inspect the building for old violations. i even told the other guy about the problem, he said it shouldn't be a problem. etc... but anyway this just sucks.

I'm sorry, you paid the city to inspect? Who is the other guy you told about the problem? You actually own a whole building? You sat there for a year and let your neighbor fuck you over like this? Ever hear of a lawyer? What are you smoking? Tenants are victims not Landlords.

Unless you go down to the office and talk to the head honcho, very nicely and with respect, you wont get anything popping.

I had a similar problem a few years ago. The building was doing work and needed to encroach on my property. They didn't want to put up proper safety measures. Went downtown, waited patiently, acted real nice and flirty with the ladies in the office and got the site shut down.

my parents don't believe in lawsuits. everything is okay but some damage done to our building. those we fix already. we just want some official documentation. just in case if the building ever falls who knows in 10 years.


i talk to the lady on the other side. they said i got the inspection notice by mistake, which is a good thing, cause the idiots at the dob had it mix up, they think i was doing the damage to their none existent building.

the times they did come out to the site last year, supposedly they didn't find a problem, cause the building didn't existed. stupid sobs didn't even bother to call me.
