Oh my aching lungs

Ahg, that sucks. I've been there. Make sure you sleep elevated. Pile up those pillows behind you. Have you tried those personal Vick's vaporizers?

feel better... the vaporizers definitely help. Are you taking antiboitics or something?
My entire team at work was out with some stomach issues Mon and Tues... wonder what they ate? -

Ugh I had the same thing coughing and blowing my nose so much that I feel like I got beat up. Its been 2 weeks and I just recently given antibiotics from the doctor. It went around my whole house and my mother in law's house. Hope you feel better.
Anyone else gotten super sick this Fall? It seems like everyone in my office came down with the ickies at the same time.
(Are you still pregnant or did you have your little bundle of joy?) -
I am a firm believer that offices are just incubators for diesase. In my office we all sit so close together you can't help but catch whatever it is the person next to you has.
I'm on antibiotics and an inhaler. Took awhile to find meds that were OK - I'm 20 wks pregnant. Never had bronchitis in my life and my body decides that *now* is a good time. Hrumph. Hubs went to get me a vaporizer last night at midnight. What a nice guy. I now have every pillow in the house piled up on my side of the bed. I slept practically sitting up last night.
I'm going to make some tea. It doesn't do much to help, but it's mentally soothing. -

Oh girl, I feel your pain! Poor hubs has it, too. He's doing fine, he's a rock. Then there's me... the pathetic, big-bellied whale with the hacking cough and the red and peeling nose. -
I wound up with pneumonia when I was pregnant. Doctor says that the baby basically sucks everything out of us and leaves us as these husks. It is scary being so sick while pregnant, no? But I have to say better sick now than when you have a newborn in the room with you!

I was going to ask if you had an inhaler. I had a wicked case of bronchitis a few years ago (so bad that two professors kicked me out of class for being disruptive with my coughing!) and the inhaler was the only thing that saved me. I actually ended up getting some sleep meds too because I couldn't make it through more than an hour without a fit...but I don't know what's safe when you're pregnant. If you really can't sleep it may be worth asking about.
And to answer your first question, I've been sick as a dog for 3 weeks. Finally went to the doc today and I now have strep. Lameeee. -

Scary! My doc thought I might have pneumonia when we talked about my symptoms before I went to see him. I'm actually thankful that it's *only* bronchitis. Having kidlets really cuts down the immune system, eh?
On a lighter note, we had the 20 week sonogram today and all is well in there. Little monkey has all the parts s/he needs and is doing grand. Quite a healthy little squirmer I'm growing.
Carmen - Kicked out of class? Oh honey! That was me on Monday at work - I had 3 people put their conference calls on hold while I was coughing up a lung. Needless to say I left 5 mins later.
Sleep meds are out, but the vaporizer is helping with sleep. So is propping myself up as much as possible.
Howdy, Stranger!
