The Lights on Vanderbilt
Has anyone else noticed that the traffic-light timing on Vanderbilt is different all of a sudden? Seems like the green lights for traffic on Vanderbilt are much longer than they were last week. Am I just imagining this because of the cold?
Also, the sequencing seems screwy. I used to be able to watch the lights turn one after the other, but now they turn in sequence further north on the Ave (say, at Park or Prospect) but closer to GAP they're doing their own thing.

Be grateful there are lights on Vanderbilt at all this holiday season; it could be the last for a while. Next year street lighting including traffic signals will be rationed by the bankrupt city to save on power bills.

It's not you. The crossing lights on Van seem to be shorter. The light changes
as you walk half way at a normal walk. Feel be the old people trying to cross. -
I haven't noticed that the crossings are shorter (but maybe they are) but I have noticed that the lights are waaay longer. Actually, it's really the crossing at Plaza Street and Vanderbilt that's bugging me. And I don't think that I'm the only one. During the past few days all the pedestrians get tired of waiting at the stop light and start edging out into the street. Nobody did that before. Also, there's now this block of time where the lights are red in all directions. I know that's new.

Should we 311 it? -
I went out today and all seemed well. Maybe someone noticed it and fixed it? Maybe it was the cold? Dunno. I'm keeping an eye on the situation.
