Rant: Having to order (and wait for) an obscenely expensive replacement.
Rant: Finding a "missing left mirror" parking ticket on the car this morning!

    Nice insult to injury!!
Appeal the ticket with a copy of the receipt for the replacement. It should be thrown out.
  • Rave: Carmen's boyfriend is way too cool. Thanks for making Mougy a man last night (sorta).

Skinny little thing, though. He makes Mougar look like Fatty McFatster.

lol dont let moug hear that. you'll give him a complex. But yes he is too skinny. Must fatten.
  • Rant: I'm a fattie :-(

    Rave: Ramen!
  • I want! Give me ramen!!

Moug you are NOT fat, seriously. Don't even go there.

    Rave: Happy Hour!!
  • Where did you get the ramen? I saw the the teriyaki cart was missing on action.
  • Carmen wrote: lol dont let moug hear that. you'll give him a complex. But yes he is too skinny. Must fatten.
For the record Mougar, I used you as an example because you are ridiculously skinny as well.
  • I went to Sapporo's on 49th. I had been planning to go to Margon for roast chicken, red beans and rice, but after seeing Voodoo's comment I thought I should go on a diet. With tonkotsu ramen ;-)
  • Eric weighs abut 5 lbs less than me and is almost 5 inches taller. It makes me le sad. But not sad enough to stop nomming all the cheeses.
  • If you would believe it I still have some cheese left. A little light on the rum though . . .

Man, Margon is so good (you're talking about the place on 46th or 47th, right?). I used to work around there, and would go to Margon quite often for their Cuban sandwiches.

I hate the food options around my current office, so there's the rant for the day.
  • Yep! The roast pork on Wednesdays is my favorite.
  • RAVE: It's a beautiful day out and I am feeling actually in great spirits! I almost forgot! Mahina and I will plan a BBQ soon in prospect park!
  • Rave: The mother in law has agreed to let me put a shed on her property upstate. ...a excellent man cave for Whynot and Dude!

    sheds are not cheap.
  • I like the A-frame

    image

    and rave: MAN CAVE!!! :lol::lol::lol:
  • Rant: I was going to build my own shed, and even downloaded plans from DIY sites. However, the prices for the "raw" lumber are not a lot cheaper than a completed shed.

Rave: It comes totally assembled, the guy just backs it up and shoves it off the trailer.

Rave: Things that will go in the man cave: radio, scooter, rototiller, chainsaw, gas weedwacker, and tools of all variety.
  • You also need a mini-fridge, and armchair, a Mac Mini, an amp, a nice set of speakers and a monitor that covers one entire wall of the shed.
  • I was considering this local excellent sign
    http://www.brooklynian.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=49487

but have determined it would not fit inside the subaru wagon.

P.S. Doesn't having a chainsaw within 10' of a Mac Mini void the warranty of the latter?

Hmm, a lot of those items just sound like you've been coerced into free grounds maintenance in exchange for a small home away from everyone else. Are you sure you're not being punished?
  • these things presently exist in a dank, mud floored basement which causes my precious tools and toys to rust.

...the exploitation and imprisonment of me for my ability to perform manual labor is a case pending in The Hague. (Obama has vowed to close the secret prison that holds me, but I will take any improvement while the order works it way thru the bureacracy).

P.S. Looks big enough for a bench model table saw, doesn't it?
  • Isn't Papi making you a shed in his basement?
  • When I last heard, Papi was reportedly "working his wood" in the basement.

...maybe his needs aren't being met. Mama, care to fill us in?
  • scarlett wrote: Isn't Papi making you a shed in his basement?
No, no. That's just a cover for the dwarf sex ring. Ssshhhhhh.
  • You mean the midget pleasure palace!?!?!
  • whynot_31 wrote: P.S. Looks big enough for a bench model table saw, doesn't it?
Forget the bench table saw....if you get the 14'x40' model you could have a saw mill operation in there! You might want to spring for the soundproofing though.

My other vote would be for the pool house. You could make money on the side renting it out for pool boy fantasies (pool boy not included...unless he could be tempted with fine imported cheese).

Well crap. This has Mougar written all over it.
  • Mamacita wrote: You mean the midget pleasure palace!?!?!
whatever. Are midgets his preference, or has he resorted to them?

...are the man's needs so specific that you can't meet them?
  • Dwarfs or short mexicans/asians can apply.
  • ....damn, it always comes back to Mougar.

Donations are now being accepted via paypal for an upgrade to a 14' x 40' version. (I'll try to convince the mother-in-law that it really isn't that much bigger than a 10' x 10')

For safety, please make the table saw a Saw Stop:

Anyone swipe Mougar's credit card this weekend? The price for this adventure has recently increased from 2k to 40k.

P.S. Is it a requirement that I am 60, and have a beard if I get a real woodshop? Does eveyone who own a wood shop have to look like Norm from This Old House?
