Please Watch Pushing Daisies
I come to you with a frivolous plea. Please go here: http://abc. go. com/primetime/pushingdaisies/index?pn=index select the "Watch Online Now" link to the left, and watch this season of Pushing Daisies. (I am not an employee of ABC or any other kind of representative. I just don't want to see one of the best things I've seen on basic cable cancelled.)
If you aren't familiar with it, this show is one of the best programs to hit TV in ages. Everything about it is right: the characters, the story line, the plot, the sets, the costumes, and the story telling. It's a beautiful show.
Pushing Daisies is modern fairy tale for grown ups, a murder mystery, a comedy, a love story and an all around great program. The premise is a bit complex, so you may need to watch the first episode of season two a couple of times, but trust me, it is SO worth it.
Basically, Ned, who is a pie maker, can bring people back from the dead. However, if that reanimated person/animal is alive for more than 60 seconds, something else, generally nearby, will die. This keeps the universe in balance. Ned uses this skill to help a Private Investigator solve murder mysteries, and he gets part of the cut. All is dandy until Ned's childhood love, Chuck, dies, and he brings her back for keeps. The last two seasons have primarily been about the relationship between Ned and Chuck (whilst solving a new murder each episode), as well as about the character histories of the slew of other leading characters (one of which is played by the woman who played Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors).
This show is like theater on TV. Every element (the setting, lights, costumes, etc) all work together to tell the same story. The story telling method is also brilliant.
Please, watch it. This show is in jeopardy of not even completing this season and it is way, WAY to good to let that happen.
Thanks

Yes! I LOVE this show. It's so amazing. A bit of Lemony Snicket, Gory, fairytale mystery etc.. and all just perfect. Hard to express. Even the inlaws like the show :-$
sounds like a shill right? My main question is what the fuk happened to Moonlight? The vampire show (the ripped off Forever Night -whatever) that won an award but has disappeared?!? They both premiered at the same time. -
*UPDATE*
It appears I am behind the times: http://savedaisies.com/
SO instead of saving daisies, we should be trying to get maybe the Sci Fi network to pick it up...sigh. This is why I stopped watching television.

Apparently we have until the 31st of this month. Lets get on it! -
This show is great but it's so expensive to produce I sadly don't think it can survive.
It's all about production costs and that show is very expensive. -
Yeah, visually it's really great but, you know, as every episode is pretty much exactly the same plot wise there's probably only so far the show can go anyway.
Sad to see it end, but then it was never going to be mass-market fodder was it? -

No, it was another show that was too creative to really succeed in today's environment. -
