    paulybrklynny,

Although I don't know him well, I ran into Ver Klempt, the theif, at lunch. They were all having a drink at the Dark Forest last night. This is what I've found.

The game is now a closed until one of the original troups dies, Karl the Druid has about 200 more years on him if he gets past level 6. The players travel covertly from cave to cave, swords, maps, magic scrolls et al, so no one knows where they really play (Queens? SI?).

Ms. Vickers has rejects the idea of taking on new players. She doesn't like the idea of possibly not inheriting the Sword of Sharpness from Ah Ro Ghant, the other warrior. Klem Mahto has recently bonded with a Psuedo Dragon as his familiar and will be busy training him for future adventures. It can fetch and kill with it's tail. Sweeet!

Natzzo the Monk is recovering from the flu, I didn't see him there but I heard he moved up to level 4. He's also been busy with Grad School. Gobarth left early but left me the five bucks he borrowed before the Two-headed Elon encounter. He wanted to barter with the poison amulet he won in a lottery, but I already have, like, an infinty of those.

So Pauly, It's sad to say the game is closed to a chosen few and has moved on. You'll have to put the 20 sided di away for another day. Maybe you could start a new group? I think you might some willing players here on DH, but might have a tough time finding the D and D books.

I'VE SAID TOO MUCH! My life may now be in peril, I must go now. Peace out.
  • oh sweet jesus.
  • !!!

    this is really funny.
i think everyone on this message board should be required to play at dungeons and dragons night.
  • wow. holy jesus. i think you people are great/hilarious/entertaining, and i try to accept all different lifestyles, but the high school football player in me might finally overwhelm the liberal arts student in me. By this, I mean I will likely be standing outside Freddy's after the next D&D night dolling out wedgies and purple nurples. I'm sorry, I really mean no offense, but it's for your own good.

It's true that the "Jock" is the natural-born enemy of the D and D player. Actually jocks, ogres and pretty girls, in that order. But most D and D players can out-run a girl.

Anyhow, I heard this bit of news from a good freind. It might be good for you to know that Ver Klempt, the theif, has recently rolled for a Staff of Invisibility that has 25 charges. He's selling the Cloak of Obscurement on E-bay for real cheep. Now the whole team can be invisible, and by that I mean the entire IT department. Sweet!!

Just imagine, you could be waiting by Freddy's Bar with your mind on purple nurpling, or even wet willying, and a Druid or a Ranger could be rolling an eight-sided di right next to you.

I'VE SAID TOO MUCH! I must go as my life might be in peril! God speed.
  • I love these updates. they remind me that I'm not insane.

that said. I'd love to play d&d on shrooms. who's in?

    i am!
  • R.I.P. Karl the Druid. Long live Carl the Cleric.
  • Subject: Karl We Hardly Knew Ye

It's true Bill C, sad but true. I heard this bit of news from a good freind just yesterday. Klem Matoh the Illusionist informed me that Karl the Druid has moved on to greener pastures.

While defending his team (from the behind) against a vicious attack by Ant Men, he was crushed and poisoned by their giant drone ants. He rolled a 12, a 16, but then suddenly he rolled a low, ohhh soooo very low 8. He was already low on hit points, you see. The giant drones grabbed him in their pinchers, and squeeeezed. Karl let out a quick gasp, then it was over. He dropped his +1 spear.

Druids can live as long as 200 years (mighty long time) if they ever get passed fifth level status. A giant tortoises can average 177 years, that's close seconds. But Karl was no boney shelled slacker.

Karl is survived by his halfling-brother Carl (with a "C"), the Cleric. His final wish was have "Come Sail Away" played at the service. He will be burried with his wooden sheild and +1 spear but other modest but handy tools will sold on Ebay. All procedes will go to the Druid Disaster Relief.

I would say more, but I'm crying so hard I might short out keyboard. I'VE SAID TOO MUCH!. I must go now for my keyboard is in peril! Goodbye Karl, "we'll search for tomorrow on every shore."

    :(
  • I heard there were glasses raised in honor of Karl at the local tavern. His memory will live on I'm sure.
