I don't have any suggestions for you but I wanted to offer my sympathies for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss.
There is a funeral home on Vanderbilt Ave., I think, between Bergen and Dean......also, I think many people are directed to funeral homes through their churches and synagogues....though perhaps you and your partner are not connected to a church or synagogue, you might ask to speak with the hospital chaplain/s, who surely will have some ideas....or call a neighborhood church (a Jewish funeral home won't do cremation) and ask who they use.
Condolences again. -
Speak with the folks at IJ Morris on Flatbush Ave. We used them a few years ago and they were very, very accommodating. They arranged cremation off premises at Greenwood Cemetery.
I'm very sorry about your loss.

I am also very sorry about your loss, and second Frank Bell. They were very caring and professional with my sisters funeral a couple of years back.

mitchell, i'm so very sorry for your loss.
the church/temple suggestion is a good one (while bricktop states jewish funeral homes won't handle cremation, i know many that do--just not in bk)

I want to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts. I think I will be going with Frank R Bell funeral home on Sterling. I had a very nice conversation with them yesterday. A friend of mine is coming to stay a couple of days but hopefully soon I will meet with you nice people instead of only lurking around this website. Probably TMI but I do appreciate the support.

hi Mitchell -- it's not TMI at all. I'm sure this is a rough time so I'm glad you have a friend coming to stay with you. All the best for a better new year.
