One year (possibly more but on per-year basis) co-renter needed for " duplex" Feb 1st (1 mo. deposit required to confirm). Very unique living situation for someone who wants to live alone, but can’t afford to.

Rent - $1225 a month, plus self regulated gas heat, electric and cable/internet bills.

The whole living space consists of 2 equal apartments (approx. 1000 sq. ft. total) of separate: bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms (with working fireplaces), apartment entrances. Spaces are separated by a common pocket door, with the communal kitchen on available side.
Brand new fixtures/lighting and kitchen appliances (big stove/oven/sink, dishwasher, medium sized fridge, large countertop).

The apartment is on the 3rd floor with only one same type duplex apt below. Available side overlooks the back deck of Rocky Sullivan’s (rarely loud or rambunctious) and a nice view of Manhattan. The whole building is newly renovated (present tenant is first to live), and hallway/front door all newly painted/installed. Plus your own front door buzzer.

Location is very quiet and is just off the corner of Dwight and Van Dyke St in Red Hook. Both the B61 and the B77 buses are easily and quickly accessed; and the free Water Taxi is just a block and a walk thru the (Erie Bason) Park. It's very convenient.
If you have a car, parking is very easy on the street and neighborhood.

I am a 33 year-old female writer working in publishing/entertainment who is clean, quiet/private and respectful. I have two cats who pretty much stick to their turf on my side. Creative-type appreciated (male or female), but looking for someone who can offer the same respects, and pays the rent and bills on time.
I do enjoy cooking, and from time to time like to entertain the locals, but am no threat to constantly be in the kitchen.

This is an amazing home in amazing end of Red Hook, and worth every penny.
