UPS and FedEx delivery — Brooklynian

UPS and FedEx delivery

I don't have a fancy schmancy doorman... but I've had to deal with receiving two "signature required" deliveries. One from UPS and one from FedEx.

I ended up having to drive to Canarsie for the UPS depot and to sunset park for FedEx. PAIN IN THE ASS! Good thing I have a car.

Can I have packages delivered somewhere else? Do UPS stores accept deliveries? Fee? Some other method?

(I can't have things shipped to my work - the mailroom has gotten a little bit annoyed with personal items.)

  • UPS store do accept deliveries. You can call UPS and/or your local location and make arrangements.

When you track your shipment, you'll know the exact date to expect it. If you won't be available, you can choose from these options to receive your shipment:

    * To avoid receiving a UPS InfoNoticeSM, leave a note for your driver asking him to leave your shipment in a safe designated place.
    * If a signature is required, have the shipment delivered to a neighbor who will be available.
    * Arrange to pick up your shipment at a UPS Customer Center.
    * Reschedule your delivery for a day when you'll be available to receive it.
    * Have your shipment delivered to a different address.
