I will DEFINITELY check that out. I tried to go to Joyce this weekend, and it was like a playground. I walked in, turned around and left. Actually, I was reminded why I stopped going to Joyce--nice coffee and nice pastries, but the environment always leaves me frazzled.
Vanderbilt has room for another nice coffee place, and hopefully this one will be more peaceful. -

if it is the same place i'm thinking of, i don't remember too much (if any) seating. i'll have to pay more attention tomorrow. -

Then its a wash. I can't sit at Joyce; I can't sit at this place. I might as well make coffee at home. -
I passed by the place and it seem like it had a bar and maybe a couple stools. It was late so I couldn't see much.
I always go to Prospect Perk, it's nice and quiet but it has only a few tables. -
Just went there for some coffee and a croissant. Coffee is from Gille's baked goods from Choice in Fort Greene. All good. Spoke to Alex who's running the cafe and they have Hale and Hearty soups, smoothies and fresh juices.
I hope they do well. Nice to have other cafe alternatives nearby.
