Loud Engine Noises

Hey folks,

Anyone live in the block of Underhill/Sterling/Butler/St. John's hear that crazy engine like noise going on? What is that and when did it start? I was away for the weekend. It's a serious amount of noise for this time of night for this block... and I'm just trying to figure out what it is and if anyone's already got a complaint in about it.

Ok. It just stopped. Maybe whoever was running it is reading this? Weird.

It was the most random noise ever, too. Still wondering when it started if anyone has any info or if they know what it is.

I heard the noise....sounded sort of like a Harley powering a broken air conditioner compressor. Seemed like it was coming from the backyard behind Blue Marble (or one of the adjacent buildings). No idea what it was, but at least it stopped!

When it gets that noisey in the back alley there, it's usually due to the fan that's over the door to the Chinese takeout place. I'm waiting to see them start the repair job at midnight after they close the store. Seriously irritating.

Thanks folks! Seriously irritating and definitely coming from the Chinese place. I now know I'm not crazy but I'm also amazed that I haven't noticed it before now. I guess I rarely have tried to go to sleep before 11 lately. Random.
