new yogurt place on Vanderbilt
I walked by it yesterday. ...it was open.

Any one tried it yet?
...an alternative to the Ice Cream place further down Vandy, and Blue Marble on Underhill.

I tried it the day it opened -- it is dangerously close to my house. Expensive but pretty tasty. I don't think it has any direct competition in the immediate area -- unlike the two nail salons that have just opened up directly across the street from each other on that same block. Who's putting down money on which too-expensive nail salon will go down first?

What kind of flavors do they have? I think I'm going to have to go there tomorrow (my last day off).

my harsh comments:
sad, sad. particularly because it seems the family from caree cleaners, who i like, is involved.
frozen yogurt is a joke. an absurd fad that these places are popping up like zits on a 15 year old after a white castle binge. it won't last more than a few years, ending just as abruptly as in the early 90s when everyone remembered how superior ice cream is, and that yogurt isnt actually that much healthier.
and on vanderbilt? no way there is the population/traffic to support this. i give them 9 months, 18 max. -
I stopped for soup the other day and if you like Hale & Hardy (which I do) then it's great. It's also something different from a pizza joint or bar.

I bet they'll do really well this summer...

I agree, and disagree with Putz.
Ive been asotunded by the amount of foot traffic on Vandy on the warmer days so far this year.
I think they'll be fine, espo because it looks like they are doing other things also. -

Not sure how long this bodega-type market will last in that space either.....the bagel shop, however, if it EVER finally opens, will do well if their bagels come anywhere close to Bergen Bagels' quality.......
