Best place to watch the Cup Finals?
Hey guys,
My Penguins are in the Finals, and I don't really have a TV. We all know how reliable the internet is around here, so I was wondering... where's the best place to watch the games? I'd like to go somewhere that actually has the sound on and loud enough to hear, not just on in the background.
Any ideas?

aside from the penguins being sad and lifeless. -
I thought the Pens picked it up by the 2nd period. They showed life.

what is going on w/ this series? are the penguins winning?
-
What about Plan B on Vanderbilt?

Let's hope tomorrow night's game proves a little more hopeful for us Pens fans. I think we should send the team a memo letting them know that the easiest way to defend the goal this game is to simply pile on in the crease. Seemed to work just fine for the Wings. *sigh*

1. Somebody other than crosby or malkin has to score.
2. The refs need to call the blatant penalties on the wings (hossa's slash to break talbot's stick, osgood highsticking staal twice).
3. fleury needs all the help he can get with puck handling and play behind his net. If i see one more wraparound-style goal, I'm going to barf.
4. I've been going to Oconnors, and the bartenders usually oblige with the hd tv and sound at a low level-- mind you i hate the versus announcers almost as much as I hate Eddie "Sour Grapes" Olczyk. -

hossa?

it seemed the pens were fired up by Malkin's attack on wings' goalie at the end of game 2.

sour grapes -
No, Hossa still has yet to score. And Zetterberg deserves a suspension for the beat down he put on the linesman's ribs.

Bill Who? -
been going to 200 5th Ave, it's great.
dozens of HD TVs plus a giant projector screen.. sound is turned up loud enough to hear over talking.
come out and drink with me! game 4! let's go pens! -
If the Pens tie it up tonight I'll meet you for Game 5.
Having some friends over and making some pierogies tonight!
-
Oh - by the way - 200 fifth is a huge Steeler bar. Been going there for years. Great group of Pittsburgh fans hang out there. They pretty much take over the whole back area with the huge screen. More Steeler fans than Jet/Giants fans there.

AWESOME game tonight. I'll take 4 - 2 on home ice any day.

There's a documentary in the works tentatively called "Steeler Country" that shot their promo at 200 a couple weeks ago, I was lucky enough to have an interview. Can't wait to see if it makes the final cut.
Great game tonight. Wings looked banged up; we've all seen this act before, but I think if we can keep getting guys up into the chest of Kronwall and Lidstrom and stay around 50 percent on faceoffs, our chances will be as good as theirs. -

You and me both. You know what, though? I never felt like we'd do anything but win. Really. The whole series I was so calm. Felt awesome. -

Oh, not me. I was a wreck the whole time, it just seemed like we'd never find a way through the neutral zone with speed and/or possession.
Mom and Dad and Bro and nephews whooping it up somewhere down the southside right about now, I think. -
I knew as long as we took 2 games in a row on home ice that we'd have enough oomph to destroy the Wings in Detroit for game 7.
My folks live in DC now, but every time there was a big play my dad and I were on the phone as if we were at the game together. Pretty great stuff. -
For you outta-tahners in need of a healthy dose of Sally Wiggin...

Hahaha. They were eating chicken wings out of the Cup!

ohhh that was a beautiful game. they had their Neo moment. like at the end of the matrix when he calms down and destroys everyone. detroit fans at 500 5th were pretty gracious.
hard to believe one out of every ten TVs on in the country were watching the game.
Howdy, Stranger!
