went to smackmellon yesterday to get some info. the woman i spoke with, Suzanne Kim, could not be less interested in your business. i nicely mentioned that i had emailed a week ago to find out how i could get more information and that no one had gotten back to me so i had some questions. she just said "i can answer your questions." no apology for the fact that no one had replied, and no "oh how nice that you are thinking of us for your wedding." i had very basic questions that are not answered on their website, and she kept trying to direct me to their website. it was pulling teeth to get simple questions answered like what the capacity is; she really could not be bothered and gave me a look like i must be spoiled. it was all about the delivery. there are perfectly polite and friendly ways to say that you basically just rent the space and then you're on your own, but nope, not her. considering it costs $7500 for a saturday rental you'd think they would actively enoucrage it. as a moneymaker.

anyway, for posterity, they can accomodate up to 150 people. and the bathrooms are definitely basic, old industrial bathrooms. would be totally cool for a cocktail event.
