  • I haven't had a problem, but maybe you're just that much closer to Park Slope than me..

  • I had some Verizon issues on Vanderbilt ave and Dean st
  • It's all over. Queens is having big problems with Verizon service.
LOTS OF NOISE ON THE PHONE. (If the problem's outside, no charge). If they say the problem's inside and you don't let them in, they charge you $91.00 anyway.
    Fancy
    Everyone, have a great life.
  • I live along lincoln and am experiencing the same issues - very annoying.
  • I have had noise/static issues with my Verizon outside line twice in the past six months. They came to repair my phone line two weeks ago when the problem recurred. They had to fix the outside lines dangling from my 4th floor window, it seems that they get corroded from being outdoors (??) It is annoying and a waste of precious vacation time.

To add to the inconvenience, I couldn't even summon Verizon via internet because their website was farked, and had to go to the street to use an extremely vexing automated telephone system to record my repair reqeust. The verizon truck came that same day, though, to their credit.
  • oh, i should have made it clear: CELL PHONE
for so much money per month, i feel like i should be able to use my cell phone in my neighborhood if not in my building.
  • I have Verizon and have had no problems with reception in my apartment or in the neighborhood. Except inside Weather Up for some reason...
  • carni - i actually usually go in front of your building if i need to chat on my phone. seriously! :)
  • My verizon cell phone has always had just 2 bars in my apt. No clue as to why. Which is why I'm switching to T-mobile prepaid when my contract is up. That, and Verizon just pisses me off.

My building actually has Verizon antennas on the roof.

Don't do it - T Mobile is much, much worse than Verizon, I had T Mobile years ago then switched to Verizon and could then actually use my phone in my apt and in the park which I couldn't do regularly with T-Mobile. Now I am back to T Mobile through work and its a little better than it was years ago but is still sucks compared to VZW, just amazes me how pathetic the T Mobile coverage can be right in the middle of a city with 2.5 million people, same thing on vacation, my wife's VZW phone will have 2-3 bars and I'll have none.

T-Mobile sucks and I hate them.
  • i live at that same corner (267 lincoln) and have terrible verizon cell service in my apartment. always been that way for years, though. and my roommate has similar problems with a non-verizon carrier.

maybe the giant buildings on eastern pkwy block the signal, or maybe the building is just a magical vortex of decrepitude, who knows.
  • I hate cell phones! I hope I never have one.
