ArtsCetera How to Meet a Dog Workshop — Brooklynian

ArtsCetera How to Meet a Dog Workshop

In light of the "dangerous dog" in Kensinton/Windsor Terrace postings of the past week, here's an event that might be of interest to families with young children.

Saturday, December 5th at 10:00 and 11:00 am
ArtsCetera - 212 Smith Street

Brooklyn’s legendary canine behavior expert Renee Payne joins ArtsCetera’s founding mom Nanette De Cillis in this one-hour “hands-on-dogs” workshop; demonstrating the basics of dog safety in a practical, child-friendly, interactive format.

Music, puppets and play create an imaginary dog soiree, setting the stage for a real meet and greet with some of our favorite canine friends. Renee guides each child through saying hello with confidence, a kid-safe opportunity that has practical applications for everyone, from the fearfully curious to the fearless full body hugger.

Families receive a paw-tographed copy of the new book “Be a Dog’s Best Friend”, co-authored by Renee and Jennifer Gladysz, and a music CD of Morgan Taylor’s “How to Meet a Dog” from ArtsCetera’s first musical adventure with Arfie, imaginary mascot and dog friend to all.

Whether you are a dog-owner whose kids need to know that all dogs are different, or a parent who wants their child to enjoy a positive relationship with human’s best friend, here’s your workshop!
