Now in it's 5th year Grillin' On The Bay attracts some of the area's top chefs, cooks and competition barbecue teams.

The Brooklyn Chili Smackdown takes place at the same location and at the same time as the grilling contest.

Corner of East 18th Street and Avenue Z, Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn in the St. Mark Schoolyard.

BBQ food will be available for the public beginning at 11:00 AM,

Chili opens at 1:00 PM

EVENT SCHEDULE
6:00 AM:Gates open and meat inspection begins
7:00 AM:Cook’s breakfast of Brooklyn bagels, cream cheese, coffee, tea, etc.
8:00 AM:Cook’s meeting in the school cafeteria. A representative of each team must be present.
8:00 AM:All vehicles must be removed from the contest site.
11:00 AM:Judge’s meeting in the school cafeteria.
12:00 PM:Fish Turn-in
12:45 PM:Chicken Turn-in
1:00 PM:People’s Choice Chili Smack-down contest opens
1:30 PM:Pork Ribs turn-in
2:15 PM:Chef’s Choice turn-in
3:15 PM:ADDITIONAL EVENT TURN IN – IF APPLICABLE.
4:00 PM:People’s Choice Chili Smack-down contest voting ends.
4:30 PM: Award Ceremony
