Sports bar/restaurant on Clark St?
Curious to know if anyone's tried the new sports bar/restaurant on Clark Street right across from the subway entrance, where Bagelady used to be. I'm puzzled by their marketing approach - they call themselves a sports bar but the blackboard outside is touting menu items like pumpkin ravioli with truffle oil and roasted sea bass. I've not been intrigued enough to actually go in
but would like to know if anyone's been more adventurous than I...

I can't say that I've tried it but.... I stepped in a few weeks ago to take a look around. The one table in the place and the entire staff were quite interested in my every move. I took a wander downstairs to their game area (2 pool tables very close together and a speedy type foosball table) to find a couple very preterbed at being disrupted. They just don't seem to have it all together. Zero atmosphere, and down right uncomfortable in my opinion. But they're farely new so you never know

Wow - in the less-than-four months since I posted, the sports bar changed its name to La Citronelle and called itself a bar/restaurant/lounge. Now the windows are papered over and some place called Mike's Kosher Steakhouse is on the way. They've GOT to be kidding!

Tell ya what....don't go to the Clark street Restaurant. We just ate there this evening and it was awful. perhaps some of the blandest and most uninspiring food I've ever been served. Service was great but the food was terrible.
Did I mention that the food was bad? -
Siggy's on Henry St. makes delicious, clean food. I am not vegan but their vegan lasagna and brownies are INCREDIBLE!!!
Howdy, Stranger!
