Flash and interactive tutor
Hello Brooklynian web designers
Long story short. I have been a print graphic designer for a little over 10 years now and I really need to add some new skills to resume. My background is mostly in packaging design so I have very solid Illustrator and photoshop skills. I dont want to try and break into web design and do it full time, I'm just looking to add a new skill set in case I run across a job that requires some light to moderate web work.
Ideally im looking for someone to tutor me in flash and evaluate my portfolio to see how I can translate my skills to the online world. I would like to meet with someone perhaps once or twice a week that can tutor me in the relevant programs and give me a few assignments to work on.
I would of course pay the person and be willing to either go to their place or have them come to me.
Also if you are reading this and have advice for me I would love to hear about it.
Im not really looking to take a class at a school but if you know of a program that you think might be good for me I would very much like to hear about it.
Thanks

Check out Noble Desktop. They provide classes in all the graphic programs. Might also be a great place to find a tutor.

Look at lynda.com - they have very good online tutorials. Harvest works has low-cost classes for artists. SVA is also good, but expensive.
As for a tutor, you could always post on craigslist - I found a recent graduate from Parson's to do a small job for me.
