arrest on St Marks and Underhill this morning (4/1)

Anybody know what was going on this morning on the corner of Underhill and Saint Marks? I walked by a group of 6-8 policemen and policewomen who had one young, mid-20s black male in handcuffs. They were searching through a pile of trash --- maybe looking for drugs?

They were also talking to another young, mid-20s black male, who was standing on the sidelines, not handcuffed, and was wearing some sort of garage or gas station attendant shirt.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed or found out more info. Seemed like a lot of police for a small drug bust. This was around 8:45am.

I live on St. Marks and happened to look out my window while this was happening. Two guys were chasing down another guy (whose description sounds like the one who was arrested) and hitting him with a wooden plank. Crazy stuff.

Whoa! Hitting him with a wooden plank?! Seems like you should at least wait until after 9am to do that sort of thing. I live on Saint Marks, too, but missed the action, obviously.
