I'm working down that way and have exhausted every food possibility (just about) on this side of the BQE. Any uphill suggestions?

There's a little Thai place on Montague (the only place on Monty I'll actually eat) called lantern that is very good. Decent lunch special.

I've heard great things about Noodle Pudding on Henry off Cranberry but have yet to try it...

Otherwise, no. Not really anything :roll:

I haven't really gone everywhere and I spend too much time at the closest deli Bridge Fresh. Didn't like D-Space, though everyone else raves about it. Pedro's (though I feel I'm making up that name) on Jay & Front had a decent arroz con pollo, except the chicken was sorta dry, but Spanish dating shows in the early afternoon are a plus. Good sandwiches at Ferragamo's (probably the wrong name), the Italian deli on Jay. If I eat a slice from Front St Pizza one more time, I'm gonna cry. Still have to go to Rice. And I'm too broke to eat lunch at Superfine with any sort of regularity.

Some work people and I were wondering where we could even get to deliver down to us. Are there decent restaurants that deliver in Brooklyn Heights?

If you're looking for Pizza, Fascati's has a rep of being almost as good as Grimaldi's.... 2 out of the 3 times I've tried them, it was pretty damn good.

Pig'n Out BBQ is the dark horse of the strip. I'm always happy with what they have (5 napkins burger, Crabby Abby Patty) and they do a lunch special as well.

Lantern for Thai like I had mentioned before is really good. Very clean, nothing like a Lemongrass or anything else I've come across.

And that's really it. Forget about anything on Montague. Especially La Traviata, Cafe Boun Gusto, and Heights Cafe.

Waterfront Bar and Grill on Water Street isn't great but can have some decent items. Bubby's is highly inconsistent and Pete's downtown charges half your arm and a quarter of your leg just to sit down....

I'm a big fan of Noodle Pudding - though note that they're dinner only, cash only and closed on Mondays. The fish specials can be price-y but overall the food is great - love the strozzapretti on the regular menu.

Agree 100% with the slam on Montague Street restaurants - the only one I go to is Chipotle for takeout. I've had decent meals at Heights Cafe by picking my way very carefully through the menu - meatloaf yea, pizzas nay - but everything is overpriced and the desserts are pretty uniformly Not Worth the Money or Calories.

I'm no gourmet, so when I eat out, I just enjoy & don't worry about the grease:

At Pig'n Out (60 Henry) I've liked the pulled pork, collard greens, corn bread (ph: 718.522.5547 or www.zipmenu.com)

Fortune House (82 Henry) is our longtime Chinese restaurant w/great prices. I like spicy dishes such as the sha-cha beef and the chicken in curry sauce. Spotted Norman Mailer there the other day. (ph: 718.855.7055)

At Mr. Souvlaki on Montague, I take the shish-kebab platter every time.

Tutt Cafe (Hicks St, 718.722.7777) is on the other side of the block from Henry's End & Noodle Pudding. It is cheaper, less crowded, and has good hummus; babaghanouj; falafel sandwich. Those pita pizzas are very thin, though!

For dessert, fresh chocolate chocolate-chip ice cream at the little place down on the pier, across from the Bargemusic barge.
