Local food raffle and swap meet

TradeUP! is a series of swap meets and online raffles that allow you to get or learn something new for next to nothing. Our first TradeUP! is food-themed, and one third of the proceeds from this raffle benefit St. John's Bread and Life soup kitchen in Bed-Stuy, which currently has a matching campaign for Brooklyn donations made possible by the Brooklyn Community Foundation. The remaining proceeds support the work we do at Brooklyn Based.

Tickets are on sale now through Saturday, Sept. 25 at noon. Winners will be announced later that day at Littlefield in Gowanus, where, from 4-7 pm, you can trade in your cookbooks, spices, and gadgets for fresh kitchen goods. If you can't make it, we'll mail or deliver your prize afterward. Now go on and test your luck--the more tickets you buy the better your chances of winning.
