Free Orientation: Brooklyn Center for Media Education (January 4th)
WELCOME TO BRIC'S BROOKLYN CENTER FOR MEDIA EDUCATION & THE BCAT TV NETWORK!
Have a great idea for a video production, but don't have the money to rent studios, cameras, lights and crew to make it? Are you interested in learning the television production process from the bottom up, with everything from basic editing to shooting in the field to managing a studio? Are you looking for a new, inexpensive, and exciting experience? Want to learn how to submit programs to air on the BCAT TV Network, Brooklyn's public access television channels?
If you’ve answered yes to at least one of these questions, then join us for a FREE Orientation at the BCAT Media Center to learn more about classes offered at BRIC's Brooklyn Center for Media Education and/or how to air programs on the BCAT TV Network. Don’t waste any time, classes start soon & time slots are in high demand! Attend our FREE orientation this Tuesday, January 4, from 6 to 8pm. No reservations are required; space is available on a first come first serve basis, and remember it’s FREE!!

ABOUT BRIC: BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn is a multidisciplinary arts and media non-profit organization dedicated to presenting contemporary art, per¬forming arts, and community media programs that are reflective of Brooklyn’s diverse communities, and to providing resources and platforms to support the creative process. All of our offerings are free or low cost, to enhance the public’s access to and under-standing of arts and media. Each year, upwards of a million people in Brooklyn and citywide are served through our programs.
BRIC is the public access TV provider for Brooklyn. Its communi¬ty media programs offer Brooklyn residents free access to media production facilities and equipment and low-cost media educa¬tion through the BCAT Media Center and the Brooklyn Center for Media Education. BRIC’s community media programming also in¬cludes three programming initiatives aired on the 4-channel BCAT TV Network: community produced Brooklyn Free Speech TV, BRIC-produced, Brooklyn-focused Brooklyn Independent Television, and Brooklyn Bulletin Board, a 24/7 looping community announcement service used by Brooklyn non-profits.
