UNLEARN RACISM: The mOMENt is greater than you think DeLa Vega
Join us this SATURDAY, February 12th from 11-3pm in undoing the shackles of racism.
The struggle of the human spirit is due to the bondage of biased mentalities that are almost second nature in this modern society we live in.
In the spirit of healing, Yonnette Fleming, Community Resilience activist from the Hattie Carthan Community Garden is hosting a two-part dismantling racism council in the Magnolia Tree and Earth Center on Lafayette and Marcy Ave.
Since this is an age-old issue, the healing process must continue. Community councils have always been a tradition where people commune and discuss issues in society and self-development. Here, there is no authority, nor beginning or end to resolution and spiritual emergence. Tea and Food will be served. Suggested donation: $7 Bring a notepad, ancestral tokens, and or musical instruments. WE WILL TALK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT, AND GROW. All are welcome.
Howdy, Stranger!
