Freddy's Bar is back and better in South Slope, Brooklyn! Knit PH meets at the new Freddy's Bar every 4th Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

New space, great lighting, fine selection of tap, bottled, and canned beers, mixed drinks, wine, 2 commodious bathrooms — swift and ball winder always on hand. Unfortunately wine-in-a-box is no longer available.

Freddy's Bar is located at 627 Fifth aveneue, between 17th and 18th street.

Subway: R to Prospect Avenue in Brooklyn

Bus: B63 to 5th Avenue and either Prospect Avenue or 18th Street

Got balls? Clean house by dipping into that one-ball stash. In February Knit PH is hosting a "Yarn Trade / Yarn Give-away." This event is great for gathering materials for your multi-colored/textured crochet or knit projects. Plastic grocery bags, yarn swift, and wool winder will be provided.

Here are the rules:

1. Ball up your yarn, provide a label that describes brand and fiber content.

2. Label your yarn as "Trade/ Give Away."

3. Put your name on all "Trade" items.

4. You must reclaim your yarn if it remains unclaimed.

You do not have to be a Knit PH member to trade but you must bring stash to exchange.
