Eric Adams: the next borough president?

Those not into the pros and cons of stop and frisk, can jump to the bottom of this article and see that he wouldn't mind filling the shoes of Marty Markowitz.

I think he'd have a good shot at it.

  • He is now being called a virtual shoe-in

While I like the guy, the guise of democracy would have been nice.

Luckily in this case, the boro president has very little power.

The new head of the Brooklyn Democratic Party is Frank Seddio, who has done an impressive job of reaching out to his harshest critics. The fact that somehow there happens to be a situation where the Democrats are not fighting among themselves over this position is either a sign that he's achieved some party discipline (which is a good thing), or that he's achieved some party discipline (which is a horrible thing).

Eric Adams has some moments of being amazing- the Senate GOP did choose his district for the worst sort of gerrymandering, so Adams must be doing something right. Maybe I'm turning into a grizzled old-timer, but I have other fights to fight. I'm fine with supporting Eric Adams for Borough President.
