Dear Dickhead,

I'm glad that you were so concerned about the mirror on your car that you broke when you rounded the corner from Park onto Waverly late this afternoon.

I thought for a moment that you might actually give a shit and you were going to go back and leave a note on the car you hit when you pulled over. I guess that was asking a bit too much. All you were concerned with doing is picking up YOUR mirror and then getting back in your car as quickly as possible.

You must be a very important person and in a big hurry because you didn't stop check to see whether you'd done any damage to any of the cars that were parked beside the school. What did you think broke off your mirror? The hand of God? No, it was the mirror from another car.

Since you bolted from the scene of the accident I took it upon myself to leave the owner of the car a note with your license plate #, a description of your car and a description of you.

Surely your mother raised you better than that.

Actually ELGJR I don't think it took any courage at all although it took more courage than doing absolutely nothing at all.

Real courage would have been to actually confront the individual and demand that the driver do something immediately about the damage that they had just caused.

However this being 2012 and the way things sometimes are around this neighborhood I chose the safer route for myself and for my dog.
