A 4-week writing course in Park Slope, Brooklyn

Mondays, May 6 - June 3 (taking Memorial Day off)

7 - 9:30 p.m.

Register here ($260).

Open to writers of all levels and genres.

Use your own life stories to explore the connection between your senses, emotions, and thoughts. Discover the deep satisfaction of finding yourself somewhere you never expected that feels just right. Through accessible tools, such as visualizations, simple physical exercises, and writing prompts, further develop your voice as a writer.

*Inhabit the world of your writing through the senses.

*Slow down and settle into your writing to uncover intrinsic structure.

*Learn exercises that ease your nervous system and reduce anxiety about writing.

*Set authentic creative goals and learn to work within them effectively.

*Work with guided exercises between classes and by the end of the four weeks, complete three or four short pieces.

The focus of the approach is on what is felt and "tangible" rather than abstract ideas of "good writing." Writers of all levels and genres learn to bypass judgment and find pleasure in all the stages of craft. To find out what people are saying, click here.
