need help with cats

hi

someone told me that i can get some pet food for the cats

iam feeding. i have 10 cats of my own and i feed about 40 cats outside.i currently dont work at my previous employment,they let me go almost two weeks. i was living

paycheck to paycheck. iam not asking for money or anything like that. if you know where i can get some free pet food

to continue feeding the stray cats like i was doing or tell me where to go i would appreciate it very much. thanks

I assume you are already in contact with the local TNR/rescue orgs? They can assist with getting your feral community the help it needs, namely TNR to reduce the population of new kitties and they can connect you with other helpers in your area. If not, a google search will provide some local agencies, here is a starting point:

You should reach out to foster networks to have some of your 10+ domesticated indoor cats placed in a loving forever home. Consider it, it would provide them with the chance to get secure medical & dental assistance, and the comfort of a stable home.

Thank you for helping the cats; they sure need it. If you are feeding cats that are not spayed and neutered, you should contact one of these organizations for help so the cats stop reproducing and live without the burden of kittens. Also neutering males reduces the spread of FIV.

As a short term solution, go to any of the Met/Key foods and ask them for meat scraps. Boil them up with carrots, add stale bread and mix it up. It will at least tie you over until you find help for the cats.

I would also recommend TNR as just being involved in the TNR community opens up a wealth of financial resources to you including free and low cost vet care, food donations and financial stipends for each cat you get TNR'ed.
