March for Immigrant Dignity and Respect Oct. 5th! — Brooklynian

March for Immigrant Dignity and Respect Oct. 5th!

This week, lawmakers returned from recess after an entire summer of dragging their feet on comprehensive immigration reform. As Congress gets back to work, let's make sure they really do get back to work and move immigration reform forward. Enough is enough!

On October 5th, in more than sixty cities across the country, folks who are tired of Congress's obstructions and delays are coming together to demand action on immigration reform.

We need members from community to join us on October 5th here in New York City. New Yorkers for Real Immigration Reform, a campaign coordinated by the New York Immigration Coalition, is leading a march for immigrant dignity and respect, to raise our voices and let Congress know that we'll stand for nothing less than immigration reform with a path to citizenship for the eleven million undocumented Americans, and for the country as a whole. It is the right thing to do, the smart thing to do, and long overdue. No more delays!

  • Already on my calendar. I encourage people who are for humane immigration reform providing a path of citizenship to those already here to come out and march. These are really upbeat, feel-good events and you will be glad you did it!
