We love studying and discussing film by comparing an original film to its remake. Tonight we are going to compare the 1951 original film THE THING to John Carpenter's 1981 brilliant and more frightening re-imagining of THE THING. You do not have to have seen
the film to join in the discuss, as we reference clips.
We'll talk about story development, directing choices, production design, and themes.
