Co-op Management Companies

Does anyone know any good management companies? My co-op currently uses Esquire and we are not at all happy with them.

Thanks!

  • We have Goldin and they seem pretty good to me, although I have no experience with others! We had an absolutely horrifying plumbing leak a week ago this afternoon (many dozens of gallons of water coming out of our kitchen sink & flooding the whole room  ) and the Goldin person for our building, who was supposed to be spending a day off with her parents, was on the phone trying to get us a plumber on Friday evening.
  • My co-op used to use Esquire and they were terrible. Then we switched to Advanced Mgmt and they suck too. Our co-op is almost completely managed by our board, so we don't rely on the mgmt companies for but a few administrative/financial activities and still the board doesn't seem to be able to find a decent one.

us too. and we keep looking and can't find anyone we can afford.

hell, i should be a management company for small buildings... at least things would be taken care of.
  • Subject: Coop Management AGAIN!

I think the board might be ready to change management companies. .. Does anyone have any new ideas? The coop is 31 units not including the 'partime super's' unit.

Thanks for any and all suggestions!
  • Goldin has managed a building of mine for several years. I've found them to be generally competent and honest.
  • Our building uses Esquire, and I can't believe that we pay actual money for the crap service they provide.
  • This is such a business opportunity to start a management company. If only I were actually interested in doing so.
  • I lived - as a renter - in a building managed by Trezza Management. I think they also handle co-ops. I was very pleased with their quick responses to my apartment issues. You can Google them if interested.
