Missing Cats - Windsor Terrace

The two backyard (feral) cats we regularly feed and shelter have been missing for over a week. One is pure white; the other is orange, white and black calico. Both are female and neutered. They usually live in the yards of the block btwn 16th/15th Sts. and PPW/8th Ave. We've fed them daily and given them winter shelter for more than 4 years, and they have never been missing this long. A neighbor who also feeds them has not seen them. Both cats are shy around strangers, even when being fed. If you have seen them, please let me know. We're all worried.

  • I'm going to PM you as I might have seen the calico.....
  • Great news! After an absence of two weeks, the white cat visited us a few times late this week. She is much cleaner, not hungry and doesn't stay long. The calico has not come by. My (optimistic) theory: they found a better home. Someone with no other cats. (We have four former strays who live indoors.) Or people with an accessible basement where the cats can live without constant human contact. The calico, tho now very shy, was once an indoor cat. Under the right conditions, she'd be very happy to stick close to a new home. The white cat was born feral, so she likes to roam a bit. Our thanks to everyone who kept an eye out for them!
  • glad to hear this.

i think these are the cats i can see right outside my window (there's also a grey tuxedo and a hefty looking siamese-mix?)
