Help need good dry cleaner and tailor

Hi can anyone recommend a good dry cleaner/tailor? I work downtown brooklyn and always took clothing to work to put in cleaner downtown. Now they have fell victim to the "condo" axe and have lost their lease?
Thanks
Lee

Well this thread is a litle stale but..
Isn't the dry cleaners on ave J at the subway station open 24 hrs?

My son lived in the neighborhood till a year ago when he was blessed and moved back to PS (where he was born and raised) and I remember he used them often and was satistied.

Seriously... I was raised in Midwood and it still is a wonderful place to live but the services are schetchy so I understand where the queastion is coming from.
  • It seems that there are a fair number of dry cleaners in the neighborhood (and even more laundromats that offer dry cleaning services, although it is not done on the premises), but it really depends on which area you live in. We are on the Kensington/Midwood border and usually take our dry cleaning to a small place on the corner of Parkville and McDonald Aves, they also do tailoring there.

Better late than never....not sure where you live, but I am in Kensington/WT area....my BF's family used to own a dry cleaner, and he swears by the one on Ft Hamiton and McDonald, across from the QuickStop. Says they have the latest in machines too!
