Reduce Waste, Help Beautify Your Neighborhood!

GreenSpace on Fourth Community Garden's Composting Program Now Open.

Why make Compost?
Almost 30% of NYC's garbage is made up of food. Instead of sending your food scraps to a landfill, turn them into compost which will be used to help improve the quality of soil for street trees, in community gardens and more.

What Can I Bring?
We can make compost from fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds and filters, tea bags, egg and nut shells, cut or dried flowers.
Please don't bring meat, fish, greasy food scraps, fat, oil, dairy, animal waste, cat litter, charcoal, biodegradable plastics.

Where and When can I Drop Off?
Saturday 11am to 1 pm
Tuesday 6 pm to 8 pm
More hours to come soon.
207 4th Avenue b/w Sackett and Union, Park Slope, Brooklyn.
