BQLT Community Garden Bike Tour - Sunday 9/13 Starting in Clinton Hill

Join Brooklyn Queens Land Trust for our 4th Annual Community Garden Bike Tour!!

Sunday, September 13, 2015.
Tour Start: Clifton Place Block Association Garden, 289 Grand Avenue, Brooklyn at 9:30 am

Tour End: Central Bainbridge Community Garden, 277 Bainbridge Street, Brooklyn at 4:30 pm

This is a free, self guided tour of 13 of Brooklyn's sweetest community gardens. Experience the vibrancy, diversity and cultural traditions of Fort Greene, Crown Heights, Bedford Stuyvesant, and Bushwick through their community gardens. Connect with nature lovers, foodies, and environmental stewards committed to preserving green open spaces. Learn about bees, chickens, herbs, trees, engage with community, bring friends, and make some more.
BQLT's gardens give community members access to land to produce fruits, herbs and vegetables; foster a sense of community identity, ownership, and stewardship; and provide safe outdoor spaces for children and families to play and interact.

This is a fun and easy bicycle ride through beautiful Brooklyn, non-bikers are definitely welcome to drive, walk or take public transportation. This is a self guided tour with a list of gardens provided to all registrants, feel free to visit one or all. Bike and walking route maps will be provided closer to the tour date. If you would like to drive your own vehicle to tour the gardens, contact for more information.
