Tomorrow We Are Giving Away 100 Shade And Fruit Trees!

Tomorrow morning, RAIN or SHINE, we are giving away 100 FREE fruit trees! In light of the rainy weather forecast, the event will be held indoors so that folks can remain dry during registration.

The trees available for adoption are Hazelnut, Serviceberry, Redbud, and Persimmon. They are all a modest size to take on public transportation or in your  car. Because the soil may be damp, please bring a shopping bag or tote to enclose the pot while you travel. A shopping cart will also help you if you have one.

  • I think that I shall never see
    A poem lovely as a tree.

    A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
    Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

    A tree that looks at God all day,
    And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

    A tree that may in summer wear
    A nest of robins in her hair;

    Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
    Who intimately lives with rain.

    Poems are made by fools like me,
    But only God can make a tree.
