I have done the TR treatment for 4 years now and have gone to Hidy Hair near Macy's. It's about 500.00 for long hair. It's not a small in the conner dinky salon either. They are really up on the methods and are very careful. They will give you a consultation too. A friend of mine went to Oribe in the city and paid 1000.00 for a burned scalp. She had to wait for all of her hair to grow out to do the treatment again. They offered to do it for a discount the next time around. The nerve. I'd be so angry. Hidy does a fine job and knows my hair by now. Contact Jay and he will answer any questions. Good luck!
  • why is this treatment so expensive? i've always wondered.

b/c it takes like 4 hours... there are several steps, but it lasts a long time :)
  • i wish they'd had this a billion years ago when i was in high school, when everyone teased me for my curly hair.
  • ...but of course now your curly hair is something to be envied, right? :D

I'm glad I still got my curls!
  • well, not to sound conceited... but my hair pretty much rocks. and as for all the kids who teased me in high school, well... they don't have this fabulous hair!
